Plant Growth Room Video Cases
Plant Growth Rooms at Northeast Agricultural University
This video, originally aired on Heilongjiang News Broadcast, features Jiupo’s walk-in climate chambers, customizable-spectrum LED lighting panels, stainless-steel cultivation racks, temperature and humidity control modules, and the remote monitoring system.
Northeast Agricultural University has established more than 20 advanced Jiupo plant growth rooms to support cold-region agriculture research and next-generation smart breeding programs. All facilities were custom-designed and installed by our team.
Within each growth room, researchers can simulate a wide range of environments—from northern cold regions and black-soil climates to tropical rainforest conditions. The system also enables controlled stress environments, such as drought and saline–alkali soils, providing reliable data for crop resistance studies, especially soybean breeding.
The lighting system features a plant-optimized blue–violet spectrum and is paired with high-precision sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, and photoperiod. By fine-tuning micro-climate conditions and light cycles, the university has increased breeding efficiency from two generations per year in natural environments to four or even five generations inside the growth rooms.
All rooms are integrated into an intelligent control platform, allowing researchers to remotely monitor and adjust environmental parameters in real time.
FUJIAN AGRICULTURE & FORESTRY UNIVERSITY — JIUPO GLASS-WALLED PLANT FACTORY
This project showcases a custom-built glass-walled plant factory designed and manufactured by JIUPO for Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. The facility functions as a controlled-environment plant growth room, enabling precise regulation of temperature, humidity, light intensity, and light spectrum to support year-round cultivation and research.
Inside the plant factory, a multi-layered JIUPO cultivation rack system creates an organized, space-efficient layout for seedlings and mature plants. The racks are paired with height-adjustable UFO grow lights, allowing researchers to fine-tune illumination throughout different growth stages.
The video captures a diverse range of crops thriving under these optimized conditions, including rice, pineapple, pepper, and tobacco.
Every plant benefits from uniform lighting, stable climate control, and carefully managed nutrients—resulting in robust growth and healthy, vibrant foliage.
The spacious glass design not only provides excellent visibility for observation and teaching, but also supports large-scale cultivation trials with highly consistent environmental control. This installation demonstrates how JIUPO’s integrated environmental technologies empower universities and research institutions to advance modern agriculture and plant science.
